The Union HRD Minister or Minister of Education, Ramesh Nishank Pokhriyal, has launched a new alternative academic calendar for grades 6 to 8, which is a continuation of the previous 4-week calendar. On July 2, the Minister HRD made public the school calendar for primary classes from 1 to 5.

The academic calendar released today, which consists of subject-specific guidelines for eight weeks and detailed guidance on using social media tools and technology for education, is a benchmark for teachers who want to continue studying. teach during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The academic calendar for upper primary grades has been developed by the National Council for Educational Research and Training (NCERT).

Ramesh Pokhriyal announced the same on his official Twitter account.

“The alternative academic calendar for the upper primary cycle (classes VI to VIII) for four weeks was published earlier. I launched the academic calendar for the next eight weeks today,” he wrote.

“This calendar contains detailed guidelines for teachers on using technology and social media tools to deliver instruction while students are at home,” Pokhriyal said.

“The Calendar further aims to give our students, teachers, principals and parents positive ways to manage # Covid19 through online teaching-learning resources and achieve the best possible learning outcomes, ”the Minister of Education added.
